We believe learning can be fun, which is a major value we follow at the Reading Room and Math Centre. Our program is built on relationship, fun & results.

Program Options

Option 1- ****The Catch Up**** Very popular

Two hours per week, one Reading one Math but if your child is way behind in either subject, we can concentrate both hours on either subject. This is a discounted option for families with two kids enrolled or with one child coming twice a week.

Option 2- High School Math Preparation

This program is designed to help Grade 7 & 8 Students adjust to highschool Math. A special emphasis is placed on concepts like fractions, geometry, algebra, Integers and Bedmas. This program is ideal for kids going into grade 8 or kids that struggled with grade 8 Math.

Option 3- Pre-Calculus Preparation 

This class is a "Welcome to University" style course. Kids must have a strong foundation in grade 9 math & have the mindset to put in 3-4 hours of homework per week to be successful. This course stresses kids out who are not prepared.

Option 4- The Standard

Our standard one hour per week working on Math, Reading and or Writing-Spelling.

Option 5- Financial Management for Teens & Young Adults

A new program to equip kids with understanding around money/asset management, loans, credit cards, time value of money, wages, taxes and investment.

Option 6- Kindergarten Prep/ Grade 1 Learn to Read

Let's begin Kindergarten and or grade 1 with confidence! We have a fun game-based program for your child, which would include;

• Jolly Phonics: letter sounds
• Secret Stories: Cracking the Reading Code with the Brain in Mind!
• Sight Words

Option 7- ***One Week and Done*** Very Popular

This option is for the busy parents or child. Maybe you have a big holiday planned or your child is busy with sports. Your child will receive a full month of sessions in one week. There will be limited room for this option so if you are interested, please connect with us right away.

Option 8- Road Map for High School Electives/University & Work Experience

This is perfect analysis tool that helps teens & young adults better understand their strengths, interests & how they like to work. This is very valuable information when choosing electives, getting a part-time job or picking university classes.
